A Disneyland Weekend Getaway At Our Favorite Place To Stay, Hilton Anaheim
I hopped off the plane at SNA with a dream and my denim jacket...
Words can not describe just how magical a weekend we had, but I am going to try to capture all of it here.
We checked in to the Hilton Anaheim for Dapper Day weekend and kicked off our trip the best way we know how... pool side, soaking up the sun with tasty treats and drinks in hand. I think this weekend was ALL about food and magical views. With a Farm to Fork concept, the food at the Hilton was super fresh and offered a wide array of vegan options. We stayed on the penthouse level and could watch the fireworks at night from our floor. The clubhouse also had views of Cars Land and Pixar Pier which meant we were never far from the magic.
The Hilton Anaheim sits right in the middle of all that Anaheim has to offer. We had some of the best food we have ever tasted just down the street at Thuyen Vien Restaurant. Seriously... THE BEST FOOD EVER. I will be dreaming of their "eggrolls" for the rest of my life. We ended up eating there two nights out of three and fell in love with the family who own the establishment.
We ate poolside and ordered room service like the princesses we wish we were. To say that we were pampered beyond belief staying at the Hilton would be an understatement. The staff was extremely friendly and so kind in answering any questions we had or helping us when we got a little lost. It is a pretty big resort and we got turned around a couple times.
The best thing about staying at the Hilton was how close we were to the parks and to the best shopping and food. The Hilton Anaheim is a short walk or less than a 5 minute ride to the main entrance of Disneyland, we took Lyft every day to and from. Each ride was about $4-5 dollars (excluding tip). It was quick and easy. They do offer a shuttle at the Hilton, but we opted for our own rides.
Because of the proximity, we were able to do so much in such a short trip. We hit the Outlets at Orange to shop for some last minute Disney gear and got to check out the mad talented and fearless skaters at the Vans Skatepark there. Gave me anxiety... but I could have watched them skate all day.
Sunday was a full 14 hour day of all things Dapper and Disneyland. We got the Max Fastpass and I highly recommend it. It is totally worth the $10 a day upgrade. You basically get unlimited fastpasses. You can book a new fastpass every 90 minutes from your phone with the Disneyland app. I noticed however, that it seems you can book a new fastpass as soon as you scan your current pass. So as we were boarding our current fastpass, we were booking our next pass. We got on every ride we wanted and more, which was shocking considering it was such a busy park day. We said our farewells to our favorite redhead on Pirates of the Caribbean, walked on Space Mountain, went under the sea with Nemo and Dory and so much more.
I have left Disneyland with a song and a dream in my heart, and I can not wait to go back. If I can help you in any way planning your trip or stay or with questions, just let me know!
