FALL TREND ALERT TAPERED TROUSERS

Put the skinny jeans away... at least for now. This season is all about a loose taper or big flair! We are talking a baggy tapered trouser or a high waist exaggerated bell bottom. 

And forget denim... give your jeans a break and opt for luxurious textiles. Think velvet, jacquard, vegan silk (like these pictured), corduroy.  We have seen enough denim for quite awhile, its time to feast your eyes on something a little more interesting. 

I haven't worn velvet bell bottoms since the 6th grade, and my how good they feel. I have been living in our new velvet bottoms since we got them in! Along with these silky pants. Paired with a blazer, a sleek blouse and pumps, you have a super chic work look that can easily transition into after work cocktails with the gang, or go for a daring piece like this Jagger blouse add a wide brimmed hat or a pop of color with a headscarf and our fluffy jacket with edgy boots, and you are weekend ready. 

Minimal decadence is so a good thing. I am so excited to see more of it this Spring. A little romance isn't a bad thing. Keep your pieces easy and let the prints, colors, and textiles do the talking. And don't forget, you wear the pants... the pants don't wear you!
