We Celebrated Our Very First Dapper Day In Disneyland And Ate Tons Of Dole Whip Along The Way
In honor of all things classic Americana, I am celebrating fourth of July with my Dapper Day experience!
I am only 3 months late with this post but better late than never right?!
To say that 2018 has been a year full of unexpected dreams coming true would be an understatement. One of those dreams was getting to celebrate my first Dapper Day ever!
Oh, it was the most magical experience! Seeing every one all dressed up completely changed the way that I think about getting ready for the parks now. I feel like Disney is best experienced in full dapper get up. It's as though you are experiencing Disney through its original lens.
I even ran into a fellow Enchanted Tiki Room bounder, and lovely instafriend Afton (@afton_in_disneyland)! I absolutely loved her vintage take on one of my favorite vintage Disney attractions.
I ate all the sweet treats and basically survived on sugar!
We hosted a duo meet-up with Jess from @shophouseofmouse. Soooo many of you showed up and I got to meet a bunch of new faces I had never met before!
I learned how to do my first rockabilly roll and discovered my love for tulle petticoats and how I now firmly believe I need one in every color.
I learned first hand how amazing the Max Pass is and how I will never do Disneyland again without one! Seriously, we got on so many rides on one of the busiest days of the year. It is well worth the $10 a day price tag.
Getting to spend so much time in Toontown was a walk down my Disney memory lane. I seriously was so obsessed with Toontown as a child. My favorite childhood memory of Disney was hanging out in Minnie's house.
Getting to celebrate Dapper Day with my very first Disney travel buddy and dear dear friend Jamie, was the cherry on top of a magical weekend. I have known Jamie since I was six years old and we started traveling to Disney together in high school each summer, while my brother competed in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Baseball Tournaments.
I can not wait to go to my next Dapper Day. I am thinking Fall 2018 in WDW! Will you be there? Let me know! I can not wait to make this a tradition every year.
