Everlane's Denim Counter Pops Up In Chicago For A Talk About Transparency and Sustainability

EVERLANE has popped up in Chicago's West Loop at 160 N. Morgan Street.

They are sharing their latest in denim sustainability and technology with the 'Authentic Stretch' Denim Collection.

The pop-up Denim Counter will be open to shop from September 5-16th, open 11am to 7pm each day.

To kick off the event, Everlane invited us to one of their Transparency Talks. On the panel were Ryan Williams, Senior Director of Sustainability of Method, Jennifer Frymark, Chief Greenhouse Officer of Gotham Greens, Michael Preysman, Everlane Founder, and Everlane's Kelly Wang, Women's Merchandising Lead & Resident Denim Expert.

The conversation was sustainability, ethical transparency and mission based brands. They answered questions from guests and shared how and why they got started and their reasons for creating brands that value progress of perfecting their products and making behind the scenes manufacturing, transparent.

Ryan talked about the work that Method has done creating jobs and working with Gotham Greens in a federally declared "Food Desert" in Chicago's Pullman neighborhood. Gotham Greens is currently building additional greenhouse space in the neighborhood along side the Method factory and is working with the city to help make fresh greens more accessible to local neighborhoods.

Tours can be scheduled to visit Gotham Greens. Method has tours every Wednesday.

If you are in Chicago this weekend, make sure to stop by and check out the Denim Counter. We are going back to try on the high-waist skinny stretch denim in every color.
