One Of Our Favorite Sizzling Swimsuit Trends For Spring/Summer 19' Is A Must Have In Your Closet
Last month we interviewed Philippa Brenninkmeyer, founder and designer of sustainable swimwear brand Indigo.
We hit the beaches in some of our favorite pieces from her collection to put them to the test.
At first touch, there is a noticeable difference of quality and durability of Indigo swimsuits. They are double lined, sturdy, and extremely soft. They are perfectly cut to flatter every curve of your body, without unflattering rolls, bumps, or bulging.
I personally have had a hard time finding a cheeky cut suit that doesn’t cut my bum off or create undesirable spillage. That is until I found Indigo!
I have never felt very confident in my derrière department, but Indigo has completely changed that. All it took was the proper fit, construction, and materials.
I also had a tough time finding one-pieces that would hug all the right spots, but be long enough to not need to size up just for length. The beautiful thing about the Del Mar one-piece is that the straps are built in to the back corset and can be shortened or lengthened per the individual.
I got both the Del Mar in Sage and Burgundy because I loved the fit so much. It is a classic suit that was built to last year after year with proper care. The lacing detail in the front and back lend a touch of edge to a minimal style. The lacing also helps create a custom fit for each wearer. I also enjoyed wearing this one piece as a body suit under casual slacks and denim shorts or skirts.
The newest collection, Minimal Range, by Indigo recently launched and features beautifully cut minimal bikinis in classic colors. You really can’t go wrong with each cut or color. So much thought and intention went into each style, and it comes across in the final product of each garment.
For now we are obsessing over minimal one-pieces and high-waist bottoms with sportier tops.
