Happy Birthday America! Here's Our Shopping Guide For What To Wear For Your Forth Of July Weekend
America’s birthday is only a few days away, and we are prepping!
We have stocked up on Beyond Meat burgers ahead of time to avoid our mistake last year (they sold out all across Chicago and we had to settle for veggie burgers from Restaurant Depot), our fridge is stocked with our favorite drinks, we bought a new patio dining set for our porch, and all the yard games are ready to make their yearly appearance.
Now that we are in a good place for the party, we wanted to share a few of our favorite outfit ideas for our backyard 4th of July celebration this year.
I have, no joke, worn the same outfit every year for the past 7-8 years, maybe even longer (a burnt red crochet top and blue and white star skirt)!
So I thought I would shake it up and create a new outfit for our celebrations this year. I am still rewearing my favorite 4th of July skirt, but I switched up the top, shoes and accessories to create a fresh new look.

Bold Accessories
Holidays are a fun time to play with bigger and bolder accessories. If you have been waiting to experiment with a trendy piece for summer, now is the time to do it.
I have been having a lot of fun playing with the fat velvet headbands in bright colors and fun textures or beading. I have also been having a lot of fun with statement earrings. The bigger the better. Wearing bigger bolder accessories around holidays, is a great way to add color to an outfit but also a great way to make a splash at the party. I love this red and faux pearl headband, and I have got it linked here! I love this kitsch camera shape bag for a fun statement at a party.
Clean Classic Whites + A Pop Of Americana Print
To keep things from getting too costume, pair a classic white blouse or trouser with a loud print or color.
I have had both of these items in my closet for awhile now, but this is the first time I am putting the skirt and blouse combo together. For years I have had fun wearing the same outfit every year, but this year I felt like it was time to switch it up and see how I could get creative styling my favorite skirt in a new way!
I love the results. This look is fun but is age appropriate yet festive at the same time. I kept the boots clean and sleek to keep in trend with my sophisticated 4th attire.
