Whether you are spending the day loving yourself, your gal pals, or a significant other… We are sharing our favorite things to do this Valentine’s Day in Chicago… Did we mention all of these ideas are free?

Chicago is known for many things, from our architecture to our comedy community, our famous deep dish pizza or Chicago style hotdog, there are a plethora of traits that make Chicago the amazing city that it is.

As a Chicago neighborhood native, born and raised, my absolute favorite thing about my home town, is the Museum campus and the abundance of historical and art museums spread throughout the city. We switch up our memberships each year, but if I was asked “how I would spend a perfect weekend in Chicago” it would hands-down be spent on museum campus eating vegan Chicago Style hotdogs from Kim & Carlos’ Hotdog Stand on the steps of the Field, before visiting one of my favorite museums in the country.

I have put together a list of my favorite places in Chicago, to spend a cold winter day with loved ones or friends, or even solo. These are all free for Illinois residents on Valentine’s Day this year 2019.
