Chicago Fashion Brand Stix And Roses Launches Season-less Collection Made From Vintage Upholstery Fabric
Navigating 2020 as an independent designer for Stix and Roses, has had it’s fair share of obstacles to conquer.
From supply shortages, to backups in production, and lockdowns on “non-essential” businesses and retail restrictions; 2020 threw everything it had our way. As a crafty small business owner, I found myself back at square one, making my own patterns and sewing entire collections from samples to small runs again.
We are fortunate that we have a super lean operation and were able to keep things running and even host a holiday pop-up to close out the year.
Our latest collection was made from vintage dead-stock upholstery materials that were donated to us and held in storage for such a time as these. The micro collection featured two styles in 4 different colors/prints.

Our classic shirtdress is the perfect layering piece for any season.
My favorite way to wear it is paired with the matching slip dress layered over tights and with thigh high boots! I have loved seeing how our Wildflowers are wearing them. One of our dearest friends Gabriella, wears hers layered over a sweater and paired with snow pants for a magical winter wonderland snow day.
