We Have Been Enjoying Summer 2020 The Best We Can By Trying Out New Patio Eateries Around Chicago
HANDS DOWN BEST COFFEE I HAVE HAD AT A RESTAURANT!
Ok, I randomly stumbled upon Scratchboard Kitchen in Arlington Heights last week and was so inspired by their menu. They are not a vegan restaurant but they do offer vegan items on the menu and meals can be adjusted for dietary restrictions.
I was just coming off of my 4 week raw cleanse and so I stuck to the roasted carrot hummus and the elderflower lemon latte with oat mylk.
I am a big fan of elderberry tea and love its healing properties, so when I saw that they made use of it in their coffee in a very organic way, I had to give it a try! They literally sprinkle dried elderflower buds on top of your coffee and the little wildflower in me was so excited about that. It is not a sweet drink made up of a bunch of crap syrup sugars, its a real floral, nutty, rich coffee that I can’t wait to get back and order again!
When the hummus plate first came out my heart did a little happy dance to see farm fresh vegetables surrounding the delicious hummus. Scratchboard Kitchen works locally with farmers to provide the best experience they can and it truly shows in the care and attention to detail in their prep and serving of their creations.
