As Chicago Starts To Re-Open We Are Booking Visits To Our Favorite Outdoor Space The Chicago Botanic Garden
As Chicago begins to open up to phase 4, we are still remaining cautious about where we are going and what we are doing.
With that being said though, Chicago summers are beautiful and after being cooped up for half the year, we are ready to get outside a bit.
One of our favorite places to go and explore and enjoy nature, is the Chicago Botanic Garden. We are members and love going to the outdoor grill and walking the many beautiful gardens. They opened up the perimeter trail by reservation a few weeks back, but they have now officially opened up the grill and gardens as of June 24th, 2020.

Chicago Botanic Garden has 27 gardens and four natural areas, uniquely situated on 385 acres on and around nine islands, with six miles of lake shoreline. The Garden also has a renowned Bonsai Collection.
One of my favorite gardens there is the Rose garden. I could spend hours just sitting by the water fountain or on the benches amongst all the roses. All of the staff and volunteers are kind and quick to help with any questions you may have about any of the exhibits or gardens.
Make sure to wear comfy shoes, sun protection, a hat and bring some water and a mask. They do sell food and beverages at the grill, but I like to bring my own water bottle to reduce waste.
